Should you put a deadline on your height increase?

Shreya, who is working both with Grow Taller hypnosis CDs and with treasure maps, writes: “Hi Laura, I am still confused :(  You said not to force the growth to happen, but then you said we should pick a date we want it to manifest for us. I really want my height to manifest by July. I keep thinking that I need it by then, so is that forcing it? Or do we just think that it can happen when it has to? If I do that I am afraid I have to wait a long time. And when you say we have to let go, is it ok if we think that our subconscious mind knows we want to get taller and it knows how to make us taller, so we don’t have to worry about it? - Thanks! Shreya.”

When you are working on some goals that are truly urgent, for example, if you need money to pay the rent or you’ll get thrown on the street, you may specify a deadline on your treasure map.  You may say that you want your goal to happen on or before a certain date.

When you are working with hypnosis recordings – your best bet is to focus on experiencing your goal NOW, not at some time in the future.

There is a saying in A Course in Miracles that infinite patience brings instant results.  That is because when you have infnite patience you are in a state of allowing, and when you are allowing things to happen, you have removed inner obstacles and what you desire to experience may happen instantly – because you are allowing it to happen.

On the other hand, when you start putting conditions regarding how and when something is to happen, you are creating inner tension and obstacles and you may be blocking what could happen now – telling it in effect NOT to happen until some time in the future.

If you are worried or anxious,  you are programming your subconscious with whatever you are imagining and feeling, and since in order to be worried or anxious you must be imagining the opposite of what you’d like to experience, you are then creating an inner obstacle.

Subconscious mind doesn’t “think” – it only executes what you program into it, and you are programming it all the time by what you keep on imagining and feeling, by that which feels REAL for you NOW – and what you are experiencing is in essence the effect, the manifestation of your predominant thoughts and feelings.
